Our interseting California trip

We had quite the trip to California. It started off great but then ended with a bang. We left right after Victor left work Wednesday evening. A friend called to tell us about a bad accident in the Cedar City area and the whole freeway was closed. Luckily the freeway was clear when we went though although a little snowy. We stopped in Las Vegas overnight at a hotel and got there about 11pm. It was quicker than we thought to get there. It was so amazing to drive through nothing and then out of the darkness we see lights that look alien like because there are so many. It looks like all the lights of Nevada were there. I think the lights are about the only best thing there. We woke up pretty early and went walking down the strip but it was kind of hard to do anything there with little kids although it helped us leave and not be in the area. So we left and it was so beautiful to drive into California. It was so hilly and just so beautiful so drive through. We got to our hotel in Newport Beach and it was so nice to park and completely unload. My only problem with the hotel was that parking was 19 dollars a night. We got the hotel for a cheap price so I couldn't complain too much. We drove around the area and ate dinner in a mall in Westminster. It was fun to drive around and I was amazed at how much traffic there is constantly. Day 2 we decided to go to the Griffith Observatory in LA and it was so beautiful and a cool Observatory. Victor's cousin Micheal lives near LA and we went to hang out with him and his family. It was nice to meet them and they were such a sweet and generous family. They have a little 5 year old girl, Camilla and Nathaniel took to her so fast. He kept asking for her and wanting to play with her. We went to eat with them and then hit the mall. We also got some great yogurt it was so good. Day 3 We again woke up early, it seemed that the whole trip we never slept and were always up early. The night before Madyson had a tinny cough and I wasn't too worried that it would be anything serious. After we all woke up Madyson had a pretty bad cough and was totally congested. We decided to use Victor's miles and get me a flight with Mady to get back to Utah and get her to a doctor. We booked my flight that morning and I was off by noon. I landed and thankfully Francisco, my brother-in-law was able to pick me up and take me to Madyson's after hour doctor. The doctor said that she just seemed to have a bad cold and to not go anywhere. They still tested her for RSV just in case and told me they would call me with the results. I got the call and she was RSV positive. She has been such a good baby. I feel so bad that she got so sick so quickly. Day 4 I have been home but Victor woke up early to head back. On the away back Nathaniel threw up. He threw up so bad that the car seat was unusable. So then he threw up again in the car and seemed to be car sick. Luckily Victor is only about 2 hours away right now and he has all the pictures. I believe yesterday he was able to go and piddle around the resort we were staying at and play in the pool and play some fun things with Nathaniel. It was nice that we were able to do what we needed to do for our family and got to enjoy California as much as we could. We definitely want to go back when its even warmer and enjoy all of Cali. We had a blast as much as we could and then ended with a big bang! Pictures will follow shortly.
